For putting improvements, we use Sam Putt Lab and Eye Line aids to ensure a smooth roll. Megan Younkman

Director of Instruction
Class A LPGA Professional

Megan Younkman, LPGA Class A Professional, has been dedicated to the golf industry with over 31 years of intensive teaching and competitive playing experiences and has given over 34,000 lessons in her professional teaching career. Currently, she serves as the Director of Instruction at the renowned Bethpage Black Golf Courses in Farmingdale, New York. She is also a partner of the Montauk Downs State Park Golf Course in Montauk, New York. Prior, Megan owned and operated her golf schools in Tampa Bay, Florida from 2003-2018.

Megan is the published author of “Managing Your Business Game”. Younkman runs a Junior Golf Development Academy, Junior Summer Golf Camps, an LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program, PGA Jr. League Program and adult group learning programs.

She plays an active role in LPGA leadership as a member of the LPGA Global Education Team. She was appointed to serve on the LPGA’s Executive Education Committee for 2019-2021 and served as the Chair of the National Continuing Education Committee from 2014-2018. She has also served as an instructor at the LPGA Leadership Academies and the LPGA Lesson Zones.

Megan is a member of Proponent Group and The Positive Coaching Alliance. She is a U.S. KIDS GOLF Certified Coach, an LPGA-USGA Girl’s Golf Site Director, Blast Swing Motion Technology Certified and V1 Video Swing Analysis Certified. Megan has proudly worked with both the University of Tampa and Saint Leo Women’s Golf Teams.

Keith Jarvis

Montauk Director of Instruction

Keith Jarvis is a distinguished figure in the world of golf, currently serving as a Golf Channel coach of the week and Golf Channel Academy Lead Coach in New Jersey. With a career spanning over four decades, Jarvis has established himself as a prominent player and coach within the industry.

Prior to his role with Golf Channel Academy, Jarvis held the position of Lead Instructor with ESPN Golf Schools, where he made significant contributions to the development of aspiring golfers. Notably, he was part of the instructional team during the tenure of Hank Haney as Dean of Instruction, a period when Haney also served as Tiger Woods’ swing coach.

Jarvis has been a dedicated student of the game, having received lessons from Haney and his team since the early 1980s, and participating in Haney’s renowned “Teaching the Teacher” courses. In addition to his association with Haney, Jarvis has worked alongside other esteemed coaches such as Butch Harmon, Andy Plummer, Mike Bennett, and James Sieckmann, a renowned expert in the short game.

Jarvis holds multiple certifications that underscore his commitment to excellence in golf instruction. These include certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute, such as TPI Golf Fitness 1, Golf Coach 2, Junior Coach 2, and Golf Mechanics Level 2. He is also recognized as a Golfing Machine GSEM Authorized Instructor, K-Vest Level 2 Authorized Instructor, Stack and Tilt Authorized Instructor, and TrackMan Level 2 and Blast Motion Certified Instructor.

One of Jarvis’ core beliefs is in the importance of mastering golf’s “New Fundamentals,” which he identifies as the common elements among the world’s best players. He emphasizes the significance of understanding ball flight laws and cultivating a Tour-caliber short game as essential components for players striving to reach their highest potential in the sport.

With his wealth of experience, expertise, and dedication to ongoing learning, Keith Jarvis continues to make a significant impact on the golfing community.

Angela Tocco

Montauk Downs Head Professional

Prior to her tenure at Montauk Downs, Angela honed her craft as a PGA Associate at esteemed establishments such as South Fork Country Club in Amagansett, New York, and Jonathan’s Landing in Jupiter, Florida. These experiences provided her with a diverse array of insights and skills that have enriched her approach to coaching and leadership.

Angela’s journey to the upper echelons of the golfing world began at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she not only excelled academically but also showcased her talent on the golf course as a member of the women’s golf team. Her stellar performance earned her a place on the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List an impressive three times, a testament to her unwavering dedication to both athletics and academics.

With a bachelor’s degree in communication in hand, Angela brings a unique blend of communication skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the game to her role as head professional. Her ability to connect with players of all levels, coupled with her technical expertise, makes her a sought-after mentor and coach in the golfing community.


Kelley Lent

Director of Junior Golf – Montauk
LPGA Apprentice

Kelley is a member of the LPGA. Her journey in the sport began at an early age, working alongside Kelley Brooke at golf camps since the tender age of 13. Since 2018, Kelley has been a pivotal part of Bethpage Black Golf Course. Her role at Bethpage Black has allowed her to further refine her teaching methods and contribute significantly to the teaching program at Bethpage.

In a significant advancement of her career, Kelley has taken on the role of Director of Junior Golf at Montauk Downs Golf Course. In this capacity, she focuses on nurturing the next generation of golfers, emphasizing not just the technical aspects of the game but also instilling values such as sportsmanship, perseverance, and the pure love of golf

Matt Schwartz

Montauk Assistant Golf Professional

Matt grew up in Merrick, New York in a golfing family which is how his love of the game began. He started playing at age 7 and spent much of his childhood fine tuning his game at Bethpage State Park Golf Course. He spent the past 3 summers at Bethpage working with the summer camp students and caddying on the Black Course, where incidentally he made a hole in one on the 8th hole while he was in high school. Matthew is currently a PGA Associate and is working towards becoming a Class A PGA Professional.

Matt volunteered with The First Tee at Eisenhower Park where he worked with junior golfers on golf and life skills. He has worked with kids aged 4-17 in camps, group classes, and clinics. After his experience with the First Tee, Matt played on the Varsity team for his high school for 4 years where he won numerous awards and was a Team Captain. Upon his H.S. Graduation, Matt interned with Fox Sports at the 2018 US Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Course. Matt attended The University at Buffalo where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Communications.

With his passion for teaching, playing and the game of golf in general, Matt looks forward to bringing an exceptional golf experience to his students.
